Visitors to Kolbe

During the December/January UCT vacation period, Kolbe House is converted into a holiday home for people looking for a reasonably priced, safe and clean accommodation. All desks, bookcases etc. are packed away and additional beds, linen and bedside tables are put in place. Children are welcome, but pets are discouraged due to the wildlife we have on the property which include grey squirrels and guinea fowl. It is a self-catering facility.

Kolbe is surrounded by beautiful spacious gardens where visitors gather for braais, a bit of sport or meditation. There is an access gate at the top of the property offering visitors a short walk to all campus facilities. All supermarkets, restaurants and takeaway outlets are a short, safe, 80 metre walk from the main gate.

Kolbe has its own laundry with washing machines and a powerful tumble drier, which uses later version five rand coins. Bring your own washing power.
Lines are available for the drying of washing.
